Katarinaberget (mountain), bottle caps and cholera

Price from

Many harbor workers and sailors lived earlier in the area of Katarina Church.

The Stockholm guide Stefan Maurbakken leads the city walk around Katarina mountain. Here we used to have many institutions for the harbor and shipping. Stockholm's seamen's home were located around Slussen.

Stefan also talks about how the witch processes came to town in the 17th century. Several of the accused witches lived on Katarinaberget.
During the hike you also get to know more about the bottle caps factory on Tjärhovsgatan and the dreaded cholera.
This city walk starts in the corner of Götgatan / Mariagränd and ends after 90 minutes at Mäster Mikaels street.
