Arctic Char ice fishing in remote mountain scenery!

Anglerman fishing adventures offers unique day trips with a focus on ice fishing for Arctic char in North Dalarna's mountains, the gateway to a real unexploited environment!

Fishing for the mythical char is both exciting and challenging. This fish with its sometimes fiery red belly and black fins with white edges is an experience to watch and have to fight with on the rod as it is both combative and smart.

Our guide will meet you at an agreed location around Särna, Idre or Grövelsjön and you will travel with the guide to the agreed outpost for the day. There we unload the trailer and prepare snowmobiles with all equipment. Before the trip, we run a security review.

At a reasonable pace, we ride the snowmobiles along marked trails towards today's fishing waters out in the vast nature.

The tension is high when you lower the baits into the drilled hole in the ice of what may tug the line at the other end. This fishing experience is suitable for young and old, beginners as well as experienced fishermen, groups of friends or colleagues. The only requirement is that you like the outdoors and are prepared for the winter mountain weather to change hour by hour up here.

During the day, the guide assists you with fishing tips and instructions. The guide serves both coffee and hot drinks during the day, and prepares a delicious locally sourced wilderness lunch out on the ice.

The season extends between December-May (depending on weather, ice conditions and regulations around the reindeer husbandry)

The program can be changed at short notice due to weather and wind and adapted based on the conditions for the day for your safety when we are in a mountain environment.

Program:

Start 08.00 (or by appointment)

The fishing takes place throughout the day and for lunch the guide prepares lunch out in the wilderness. The experience also includes coffee with coffee, tea or hot chocolate by appointment.

In the afternoon we pack up and the guide takes you back to civilization over the mountains with arrival at the car no later than 16.00 again for your safety.

Your guide for the day will meet you at the agreed place. Joint ride in Anglerman's truck with subsequent snowmobile ride​ **​ to the fishing spot for the day. The guide brings fishing equipment, ice drills and safety equipment for all participants.

**:​ When you arrive at our starting point, we provide you with a helmet before we go through the snowmobiles, driving technique and inform about rules for you to feel safe before departure. The helmet has a visor, but if it is cold or windy, we recommend that you bring a thin hat or balaclava to wear under the helmet. To be allowed to drive a snowmobile on a guided tour requires at least an EU moped license and therefore, of course, authorization also works on a regular car driving license. We adapt the speed to the group's experience and weather. Everyone can drive a snowmobile and it is a great way to see more of the mountain. The guides instructions around the snowmobile driving is not allowed to question or disobey!
